826 National is a nonprofit organization that provides strategic leadership, administration, and other resources to ensure the success of its network of eight writing and tutoring centers. 826 centers offer a variety of inventive programs that provide under-resourced students, ages 6-18, with opportunities to explore their creativity and improve their writing skills. We also aim to help teachers get their classes excited about writing. Our mission is based on the understanding that great leaps in learning can happen with one-on-one attention, and that strong writing skills are fundamental to future success. Last year our tutoring centers — located in Ann Arbor, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Seattle and Washington, DC — served over 29,000 students.

I LOVED this one. Perhaps you have to have been a bit of a D&D geek (or a geek in general) to get into it, but this was my favorite one. Just edging Walt Whitman. I've started yelling "Dungeon Rules!!!!" at the most inopportune moments. Frightens the hell out of my students (I'm an ESL teacher in Japan).

I believe all of Mr. Wells' time jumping has given him some long term memory issues. He claims to not know much about wargames, but as EVERYONE knows Wells himself wrote one of the first commercial wargames: "Little Wars: a game for boys from twelve years of age to one hundred and fifty and for that more intelligent sort of girl who likes boys' games and books" There's even illustrated proof: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/5/52/HG_Wells_playing_to_Little_Wars.jpg Get better, H.G.!
